Simple without the hassle of a 2-year contract
-By michelle

I just received my phone from Amazon, got it set up online and started using it within an hour. I didn't have to mess around with contract commitments and those credit checks that make everyones stomach tighten a little even if they have "good" credit. Basically you pay for what you use. This was an inexpensive phone that let's you stay connected socially (i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc.) as well as make a simple phone call.

Impressive phone
-By Igor Kuklin

I like the fact that it has a full keyboard: make it easy to type SMS, emails, IMs, respond to social networks posts. You can use Opera Mini and Ovi Browser beta for internet browsing, which is nice. Phone can do photos and videos. A lot of applications are available in Ovi Store. Besides, this is a great music device: you can listen to your own MP3s and also to FM radio stations (it will even display song titles in radio!). Quick, stable and well thought-through. And price is more than affordable! Light and looks cool. Nice job Nokia!.

Phone is Great
-By Guana

This phone serves its purpose and beyond. It is at a very good price and a good quality phone. I suggest it to anyone who does not want to tangle themselves in a 2 year contract.

Review

This phone is an excellent choice for those who want a Music Phone. The Micro-SD slot can be expanded to 16GB and the sound quality is superb. On the left side of the screen it has dedicated music controls making controlling your tunes a breeze, you can leave you MP3 at home after you buy this phone. The phone itself is good too, sound quality is clear and the buttons are big, it also provides good feedback so you know what you have pressed. Like other Nokias battery life is strong, usually a full charge last 4 to 5 days with moderate talk time. The phone is really compact and light, sometimes I forget if it's in my pocket and have to pat it just to make sure I have it with me =)

The downside is the camera, it's practically useless in low light situations. Even in moderate light there are still lots of image noise, you can get away with it a little bit by it being 3.2 Megapixels thus always giving you high resolution but at 3.2 it takes quite a few seconds for it to process the picture. Also since it's not a 3G phone, using EDGE for web browsing is a bit on the sluggish side.

The bottom line is if you want a stylish, light, practically phone with good battery life and music capabilities then you can't go wrong with this Nokia. If you want something more powerful with full 3G then shop for something else.

To clear thing up only two large US wireless companies uses GSM: AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile so this phone will only work with them. Overseas GSM is the dominate technology so you can easily use this phone outside the US.

Great phone and more if you know where to look

This a great beginner phone and more. I got it to develop some java applications for and ended up loving it. I use my T-mobile SIM in the phone so get all of my services including internet, email, messaging, and java app's. If you go to [...] you will find a lot of games and applications for this phone. The only thing missing in my opinion is an FM radio, most Nokia's have them so not sure why this one doesn't. Yes, I love to listen to radio especially when I am working or just commuting on the bus to work. This phone is great and is a fantastic value.

As described just a charger

item arrived as described, regular charger with the new nokia tip. It works great on my E61.

Nokia vs. fakes

I was using a generic phone charger with my Nokia E50 before and the average charge time for a dead battery was about 3 hours. The battery life was way below standards. After using the original nokia charger, I can charge two dead batteries in less than 3 hours and the phone does perform better in terms of battery life. Using an original nokia charger also protects you from inadvertently damaging your phone or your battery.

T-Mobile Nokia 1208 Prepaid Cell Phone

Nokia 1208 is really a cheap mobile phone which is currently worth $15 dollars basing on the price list on Amazon. This is a good mobile phone suitable as back-up if your primary phone is out of battery. It’s how I use it since it really doesn’t provide much any interest to be played but only serve my purpose of calling somebody else when my primary phone is not available.

T-Mobile Nokia 1208 Prepaid Cell Phone

The following are the features of the T-Mobile Nokia 1208:

It has a Digital Camera where you can take pictures of your favorite scenes or moments from your family and friends. The photos taken might be of low quality but the happy memories are saved on your phone.

Nokia 1208 works well with the T-Mobile.

You can store a total of 250 names and numbers of your contacts. This is one major draw down of the phone because I have more than a thousand friends and the phone does not have enough storage.

The battery could last for around three hour period. It is advisable that you have to keep it fully charge before taking it somewhere else.

Memory Storage Capacity is 128 MB which is just good enough to save those sweet messages from your girl or boy friend. Okay, perhaps from your concerned family and friends.

Images are support with the JPEG format only.

There are other more features of the phone but the previous mentioned parts are only its best.

Review:

The phone is really bad. Anyway, it’s too cheap that you can even afford hundreds of them and send them as gifts. Moreover, the phone doesn’t have any musical ringtone where it simply rings when somebody else calls. You cannot even change the text font-size although there is a setting that allows you to change the size but it seems not to be working or taking effect after making the adjustment.
