SquareTrade Online Warranty for Refurbished Cell Phone from Ebay
I purchased a refurbished Blackberry from Ebay to be activated on the Verizon network and got an e-mail about the online warranty company known as SquareTrade. Since this was a refurbished item, I thought that $15 for a one year warranty wouldn't be a bad idea and I decided to purchase it. I am extremely glad I did After about 9 months of normal use of my refurbished Blackberry it stopped working completely. I would turn the device on and within 30 seconds of being fully powered on it would turn off spontaneously and could not be restarted without a "hard" reboot by taking the battery out and replacing it. After numerous unsucessful attempts, I took my phone to the Verizon store and they told me there wasn't anything I could do. I then realized that I had purchased an online warranty from SquareTrade and thought that this should be covered. I logged into SquareTrade and my warranty was still active so I filed a claim. Within 2 days they had begun my claims process and authorized me a free shipping label so that I could send in my Blackberry to be looked at. They promised that my Blackberry would either be fixed or refunded within 5 days of when they received it. They didn't lie. Two days after my Blackberry arrived at SquareTrade, they notified me that my claim was successful and that I would receive a full refund. They deposited the money straight into my PayPal account and everything went flawlessly. I have recommended SquareTrade to my friends and I would recommend it to anyone. They have the cheapest warranties available and I can tell you first hand that their claim process is easy and quick.
